S/O class list before the first day of school

Why do we need to see the class list in advance when the first day of school is literally days away? Just curious 🤔 because I'm wondering if other patches are doing all these things we should be doing...

NP. What should we be doing?

I think a lot of parents want to see the class list out of curiosity or if their kid knows another kid in the class. I'm more excited that I will have a mom friend in the class this year.

The class lists are also how you can tell how big or small the classes ended up this year.

But on the student info link it just says who the teacher will be, not the names of the other kids. I guesd for privacy reasons

It’s not the end of the world if you choose not to find out. But it’s better logistically if most people don’t wait until 8:45 on Monday. At our school each teacher holds up a sign in the morning and their classes line up, seems more organized if everyone knows ahead of time. Also nice to share class assignments with friends to find out if kids will be together.

It's so that you all will stop calling the school to see if Larlo is in class with Bethany because Larlo is very sensitive and it would really be best for everyone involved if he can be in the same class as Bethany because they have bonded over some strong life experiences (travel volleyball and swim team) but if it's not possible for Larlo to be in the same class as Bethany then maybe Larlo could be placed with Sophie because Sophie's mom is a licensed social worker and she would make a really good car pool mom in case Larlo has an upsetting day and im running late from my very important job, at least Larlo can deconstruct his day with Sophie's mom.
