| Is there somewhere that lists the differences of supported classes, co-taught classes, self contained etc? And what that looks like in terms of what staff is in the classroom, and if it's all SPED or mixed or whatever? |
| If it is co-taught with a sped teacher, they generally lost both teachers in the schedule. Even if there is not a second teacher listed, there might be a para in the class. Self-contained are not marked in the schedule, but you should know from the IEP meeting. |

I don’t think there’s a list.
Supported- a normal size class with a mix of students with and without IEP’s. Support is generally given by a para. Co-taught- a normal size class with a mix of students with and without IEP’s. A second teacher is in the room to help with instruction. Self-contained- a smaller class with only students receiving special education. These classes are all taught by a special educator and often also have a para. The look of a self-contained class varies greatly between programs. |
