| Any recent Global Entry applicants here- how long did your conditional approval take? We are traveling at the end of November and I'm concerned its not going to be enough time. Our closest interview spot says they have frequent cancellations so the should be able to work us in thankfully |
| Just did this in the past two weeks. Approval time was less than two full days (Sunday night to early Tuesday morning). The appointments were harder to come by - at first, there was no availability at any of the DC area locations at all, but then thanks to a helpful DCUM poster I was able to schedule. You can also do “interview on arrival” but that’s chancy be cause that’s not guaranteed. |
It can be random- as the PP said, it can be quick for many people to get conditional approval- within 10-14 days. If it goes past that it can often take months, and there is no way to know which group you will fall into. Sometimes one person in a couple that travels together all the time will get it quick, and the other will take months. There isn't any rhyme or reason as to which group you will land in. As for an appointment when you do get conditional approval, definitely keep checking consistently, maybe multiple times per day. Appointments open up constantly. |
| Mine took over 6 months for conditional approval. |
| Don’t wait for an appointment- just walk in at the DC location. |
Unless something has changed, post-covid they don't allow walk-ins like they did before. |
| NP. Anyone know how long it takes to get approval after the interview? |
2 days for the approval after interview. Just got Global Entry in July. Hardest part was scheduling the interview, as there were zero appointments within driving distance for months, but just kept checking and eventually a spot opened up for the following day at Dulles. Don't walk in to Dulles. I watched a woman get turned away. |
| My renewal was five minutes, no interview needed. |
Five MONTHS, sorry! |
