Title says it all. I like the EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum, but it's not water resistant. Does anyone have an water resistant alternative that they like/recommend? |
That stuff is great. Just keep reapplying it. I would not want a water-resistant product on my face. |
I’d love to know the same. |
I use the elta UV clear (non tinted) on a daily basis. My beach go-to is the UV pure. It is water resistant 80 min. I wouldn’t use it as a daily sunscreen. It is all mineral (unlike the the uv clear) and more opaque, but provides great coverage for water and beach and doesn’t cause breakouts |
EltaMD UV SHEER is water resistant. |

This is what I wear to the pool. It's zinc, but the white cast disappears when you rub it in (I have brown skin, so this is very important to me, it is truly sheer after rubbing it in). |
I have this one, too. But it sticks horribly to my dry patches and flakes after sweating in the sun or swimming. It also shows white in my wrinkles after an outdoor workout. You must have smoother and more even skin than me! |
It is actually true that skin with more melanin wrinkles less and later in life than caucasian skin. UV Sheer isn't meant to be a moisturizer (UV Clear is), so you should moisturize first, let it soak in, then put on the sunscreen. |
