Yesterday our principal sent out an email asking for subs. I submitted my application this morning but didn't include the professional reference letters. Hopefully I'll get submitted today, but I'm wondering if there is any possibility of my starting on the first day of school? I assume not, but I admit I have my hopes up a bit.
Is anyone familiar with the timeline of this process? |
They need to do a background check and you'll need to be fingerprinted. It's not a hugely long process, but I'd suspect it will take at least a week or 2. |
Bummer. Thank you! |
You also need to do the TB test |
They used to have an online training course of several hours, but maybe they are so in need they've waived that process. By the way, as a teacher, THANK YOU SO MUCH for subbing! |
Lol let me know how that goes. |
It will take about a month, maybe more.
You apply, then weeks later you may be approved for onboarding. They do a background check, in person fingerprinting, online orientation/training, and then you can start accepting sub jobs via Frontline. Yes you will need a TB test from the past year, but you can get that now so you're ready to submit the results if asked to onboard. |
