Goggles recommendations?

Anonymous
I bought a highly rated pair, and while the lenses are terrific they suction so tightly that I actually have slight bruising after just a 45-minute swim! Must be my eye shape as my husband borrowed them and did not have any issue. I swim indoor and out, so added sun protection and possibly polarized lenses are preferred.

Any brand and style recommendations? Or a place to go locally in or very near DC where I could try on?

Sport Fair in Arlington sells everything related to swimming. You can try on goggles there. Speedo Vanquisher (2.0?) is a popular model.

You can also buy bungee straps to make loosening the goggles easier.

OP here. Thanks for this. I’ll check out the store you recommended.

It's about the fit. We love the Speedo line. The size of your eyes matters. If you want to avoid leaks, go for smaller.

It is best to try on in store. Different face shapes need different goggles.
