Fake Deli Meat

Anonymous
I posted about the fake cheese recommendations. Now can anyone recommend fake "deli slices"? We used to get something that tasted a lot like bologna from Trader Joe's years and years ago, but apparently they don't carry it anymore. I don't remember what it was.

We just tried "Tofurkey Oven Roasted" (doesn't say what) and it was awful.

Any suggestions for fake sandwich meat that tastes okay?

TIA

Oh yes, you want Worthington "Wham." It's sold pre-sliced in a box in some groceries in the frozen section around where Boca burgers are. Safeway on Nutley St in Fairfax has it. The LivingWell store in Silver Spring on Cherry Hill Road should have it too. Worthington turkey ones are good too (also frozen). I put the box in the fridge, and it defrosts overnight or I can just microwave for a few seconds.

I also enjoy Eggless Salad sandwiches. I chop up tofu, you don't want it too firm for this, and mix in Nayonaise and a smidge mustard and little dill.

Moms Organic Market sells wonderful faux chicken salad sandwiches in their refrigerated foods area.

These are by far the best: https://unrealdeli.com/

Also check out the veg turkey sub at capriottis. It’s amazing.

Unreal Deli is our favorite right now. It used to be hard to find but these days it’s at most Giants and Wegmans.
