Jefferson contract - what does that mean?

Anonymous
My AP told me I’ll have to sign a new (Jefferson) contract. Asked him what that meant but didn’t respond as of yet.

This is in LCPS. Any help is appreciated.

A Jefferson contract is usually an extra class. In high school that would be teaching 6 classes instead of 5. More money of course, but more work.

They pay teachers more at TJHSST- hence the “Jefferson”.

Yes. Her affair partner. Definitely not the assistant principal.

Great. More money in the same working hours. The new extra class has 7 students 🥳

That is the case. Where do you think the term Jefferson contract comes from? It may surprise you to know that there aren’t a lot of computer engineers, physicists, etc. that will work for regular teacher pay. Anyone that has been around a while knows this.
