What's the Walter Johnson senior shed painting picnic?

Rising senior, new to Walter Johnson, has just received this invite by the school. He doesn't know anyone. They go there to paint a shed? Is food provided there? Does he need to contribute anything?

It's a way to get to know other kids. All the seniors paint their names on the shed (and paint each other). Nothing earth-shattering. They had snacks a few years ago. Don't know if things have changed.
