Trying to get better about prepping healthier snacks for the week in advance, and I'm on a celery kick. What's the best way to store celery after I've cleaned and washed it? In water or out?
What other veggies store nicely to eat raw after cutting? I'm not big on carrots. Peppers go limp quickly. I eat a lot of cherry tomatoes. |
| Store it in water. Nothing else seems to keep well! I just cut up when needed. |
| You’re not supposed to wash vegetables until right before you eat them. |
| Water and closed container. |
| It takes less than a minute to cut off a couple stalks of celery and rinse them. Why do these need to be prepped in advance? |
| It’s amazing how well aluminum foil will keep veggies fresh, but it’s wasteful to use so much. I’ve settled for the green bags that slow down food spoilage. |
I leave for work at 6:30 am and don't want to clang around the kitchen. I have fires blowing up around my in life in general and am trying to streamline where I can. My body naturally loves being a size 12 no matter how I portion control and work out, and if I don't make fruit and vegetables easy to grab I'll be hungry in the middle of the day and more likely to grab something that's not worth it. Why do you care when someone wants to chop their vegetables? |
