How did you or your doctor know to suspect Asherman’s?

Ultrasound, then HSG

I had retained placenta at delivery with manual removal. After my cycles returned after breastfeeding, I had very light periods (1-2 days, which was a change for me) and when I tried to conceive again, I had two chemical pregnancies in a row. Saw RE who ordered HSG which showed filling defects on the right side and no fill in the right fallopian tube.

Bumping this thread in case it’s useful for anyone in the future. Post D&C, my period just never returned; however, I was still getting bad cramping around the time I should be getting my period. I had to push my obgyn to do an HSG around 12 weeks post-D&C. My cervix was so scarred it couldn’t be performed so that basically confirmed it.

I found that my obgyn was not very knowledgeable about Asherman’s so definitely recommend going to a specialist if you need it treated. Recommend Dr. Isaacson in Boston (I flew to him) or Dr. Robinson here in DC.
