| How did you or your doctor know to suspect Asherman’s? |
| Ultrasound, then HSG |
| I had retained placenta at delivery with manual removal. After my cycles returned after breastfeeding, I had very light periods (1-2 days, which was a change for me) and when I tried to conceive again, I had two chemical pregnancies in a row. Saw RE who ordered HSG which showed filling defects on the right side and no fill in the right fallopian tube. |

Bumping this thread in case it’s useful for anyone in the future. Post D&C, my period just never returned; however, I was still getting bad cramping around the time I should be getting my period. I had to push my obgyn to do an HSG around 12 weeks post-D&C. My cervix was so scarred it couldn’t be performed so that basically confirmed it.
I found that my obgyn was not very knowledgeable about Asherman’s so definitely recommend going to a specialist if you need it treated. Recommend Dr. Isaacson in Boston (I flew to him) or Dr. Robinson here in DC. |
