Anyone tried a zoom cooking class?

Yes, I know the pandemic is supposedly over...

I have heard these are fun

I am looking at doing a more "chef-y" one where they send you all the ingredients (truffles, etc.)

Has anyone done this? Any good?

My brother's company has done a few and he and his DD (6 yrs old) cook it together. They seem to have fun.

I know of someone who cooked with her out of town sisters over Zoom during the pandemic. One would choose the dish and send out an ingredient list. They drank wine and it sounded like fun and a lot of laughs.

My husband did a pickling class over Zoom. He and the kids made pickles and sauerkraut. It was fun and tasty.

Are there any companies/ classes anyone can recommend as being particularly good?

I did a few with my young adult son -- they were fun and the food was delicious. FWIW, I'm a good cook and he had minimal cooking knowledge, but wanted to learn how to cook. Some of the classes were taught by family friends and some by my son's college profs, so not available to the public, but we also did King Arthur Flour baking classes and I would recommend those. (Or you could ask a friend who cooks if you could cook with them either in person or on Zoom/FaceTime.
