Insurance premium hikes

Anonymous
We've had no claims of any kind in the last 5 years and usually have very minimal premium increases, but this year they strike me as outrageous.

Homeowners going from 1300 to 1900
Auto (2 cars, only middle-aged parent drivers) going from 1800 to 2200
Flood insurance (not in any flood or hazard zone) going from 240 to 350

That's more than 1000 in premium increases when our risk hasn't changed (and our cars are one year older). Anyone else seeing this? We have Liberty Mutual and obviously I will be calling around to rate shop but just curious if other people are seeing similar increases.

Just got my car insurance renewal
1050 -> 1350 for 6 month (3 cars, 3 drivers, no recent tickets/accidents)

This is the impact of inflation in real life. Look at Geico's earnings from BH. They went out of their way to explain how auto repair/replacement values have soared because of part costs. Home repair/replacement costs have increased even more. All reflected in insurance rates. Unfortunately it looks like the worst is yet to come.

There was an article a few months ago that Virginia approved Geico to increase rates by 26%. We switched from Geico to Nationwide and saved a TON.

Last year mine almost doubled. No longer with Geico. It was absolutely crazy. We didn't even drive much.
