I'm reaching late 30s and considering light Botox to mitigate some of the deep brow furrows that I've probably had for the last 10 years. I've never had anything cosmetic done before but I do have a dermatologist who works in a top research hospital. I see her for dyshidrotic eczema, which was the bane of my existence for many years but has been much better in the last 3-4 years. Im probably totally naive here so please excuse me, but do these types of dermatologists do cosmetic procedures? Should I ask about Botox at my next appointment? Or do I need to find another doctor for stuff like that?

| They might. The more important thing is experience with Botox. I’d rather have a nurse who only does Botox day in day out than a derm who does it 2x a week. Some academic docs are amazing though so ask around. |

Oh, that's a really good point! Thanks! I'm fairly lazy so thought it would be nice not to find another doctor, but I should probably invest some time so I don't end up looking weird.

| Go to someone who does it day in and day out. |

If you don’t have a friend give you a reference, find a medspa with good reviews and go in to take a look at office. If it looks fairly upscale and nice, ask front office staff who their most popular injector and make an appointment with her. |
