The article you posted includes a statement that it was due to an expired business license (which they have submitted the paperwork to renew), and not because of any actual health/safety-related issues.

Emblematic of America's obsession with sugar. The cupcakes look really lovely and inventive, but the taste is WAY TOO SWEET for my family. I make nearly all of our desserts at home, with less sugar. They look much uglier, but at least we can eat them!
