Prolactin induced infertility

Anonymous
Has anyone had infertility issues due to high prolactin levels. I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years now and my doctor now thinks that it might be due to elevated prolactin levels that stop ovulation. My prolactin levels have never been in the normal range but since I was borderline they did not think this was an issue (normal for my doctor is 23 and I'm usually around 25). However, they rechecked the levels a week ago and my number was over 31 so I'm now finally getting this checked out. (Looking back, I should have asked that this be looked into much earlier.) Yesterday I had an MRI to rule out a growth on the pituitary gland and if that comes back normal than they will start me on a medicine that will normalize the prolactin and I'm told I could start ovulating on my own very soon since the meds take about 5 days to work. This seems like magic (and too good to be true).

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm nervous to get my hopes up.
