Calf muscle asymmetry after injury

Anonymous
My foot was in a boot for a couple months during which time my calf muscle atrophied. I did PT for about a month afterwards, which focused on strength and balance. That was a couple months ago. I just noticed the other day that, when flexed, the calf muscle on the leg that was in a boot seems larger in the sense it is more defined and “balled” than the one on my other leg which is appears to be longer (and more mass overall) but less defined. How the heck do I correct this? It’s hard to tell which one needs more work…

I am guessing you just do the same exercises for each leg and it will eventually correct itself. You probably notice more than anyone else will.
