Anyone watching The Resort on Peacock?

Took a little while to warm up but I just watched episode 4 and my mind is blown.

Not yet but I am interested. Care to share more without spoiling?

I only made it through 1.5 or 2 episodes, so maybe I need to give it another chance?

Heard it's good, just doesn't seem worth adding yet another subscription channel.

It is very hard to share much without spoiling, but I have heard it described as White Lotus meets Only Murders in the Building. Four episodes in, and it's developing into so much more than that. It stars Christen Millioti from Palm Springs and William Jackson Harper from the Good Place and I like them both, but the supporting actors are even more wonderful and surprising.

Give it through the end of 4 and then decide.

So funny you mentioned this. We started watching this last night, we really like it so far (finished ep 3). The entire time we were watching I couldn't help but compare it to White Lotus and Only Murders - which is fine because I love both of those series too.

Thanks for this Rec! I just watched all six episodes this weekend and loved it!

We watched ep 1 and 2 and were mostly bored. Ep 3 was ok. 4 was really good - hooked now.

Another who loves both those shows. Does it get really violent after whatever you found out in episode 4? What I like about both those shows is that you don’t see lots of violence every episode and they are not really gruesome.

I'm the OP. Yeah, that kind of went off the rails. Still overall glad I watched it though.

That finale was such a let-down!! It's almost like they ran out of production money, or changed producers for that final episode. They could have done so much with that episode -easy stuff! Like hey, what kind of phone is that? what's an iPhone?? Dad, why do you look 15 years older and have long hair when I just saw you 5 mins ago? Hey let us tell you what has happened in the world over the last 15 years. It just fell so flat.

Before we watched it, I said to my DH I just don't know what i want to happen here.

Do I want a kind of fantastical ending where the characters confront themselves and transcend, but that's not explained well and won't hold up to scrutiny.

Or I do I want a realistic here's what happened and the characters have to face that sometimes shitty things happen and you go on, which would be problematic in different ways.
