| It seems like a ton of colleges overenrolled for the class of 2026. What is the situation at your kid's school? |
| I don't know if they're "overenrolled" per se, but they said it is the biggest freshman class ever, and they have some kids in overflow space in the dorms. |
Can I ask to which school you're referring? |
That's overenrolled. If they don't have enough dorm space without using overflow or "forced Triples" they have overenrolled |
| Does VA Tech still have this issue? I read a few years ago (pre-covid) too many incoming freshman said yes and the school rented rooms in hotels. DC is a rising senior, wonder if it worth applying if the school continues to over enroll |
Purdue had the same problem a few years ago too. |
| Yes. Like PP, biggest freshman class ever and triple/quads to accommodate. |
| PSU. Cramming beds all over campus. |
PSU does not have a vaccine mandate. Just a thought. |
Is “PSU” Penn State? I just saw someone refer to Penn State as a public Ivy so maybe that’s why. When I was in high school, it was a different school! |
| Loyola Marymount in LA has some freshmen this fall bunking in triples. Not my guy, happily. At least, though, they made only a few of the newest, nicest dorms into triples. |
“Seems like a ton of colleges…” Like which ones exactly? Name at least five schools. |
Lol no |
| Public schools are usually overenrolled |
More like a diploma mill. |
