| Is this all connected or something else?! This sucks. I feel nauseas. I have felt like crap for 3 weeks now |
| There’s no way to know, but I suppose one indicator would be whether you are still testing positive. |
|
My teenage daughter and I both had that for weeks after COVID in late June. It sucked and frankly neither of our stomachs are 100% now nor are our menstrual cycles.
My advice is take Florastor probiotic and then just eat/drink whatever sounds like it will sit right. We went through a lot of diet ginger ale and popsicles because cold stuff felt like the best. Sorry you’re in this boat too |
| did you take plaxcovid ? |
| I took Paxlovid and had Covid at the beginning of June. Also had a Covid rebound and my period has been off and stomach is off, not sure what’s going on. |
| Same situation here. I had tested negative with no symptoms for almost 2 weeks now. |
| Do you drink Oatly Oatmilk Barista? If so, there was a recall due to bacteria. Check dates, maybe you were exposed. We didn't find out about recall until already finished container and had loose stool on and off for a week. |
| I had no smell or taste for three weeks after covid, which I had in early April. My menstrual cycle is not normal. My dh had exhaustion for five weeks after covid and has struggled for three months now with anxiety and panic attacks, which he has no history of. My kids had lingering coughs for four weeks after covid. Long story short: covid has lasting effects which will (hopefully) eventually clear up. |
That's a pretty specific product. Yes, many things can cause diarrhea. |
| I’m 12 days out and have some diarrhea on and off for last few days. |
| Do you all still have diarrhea? How long did it ultimately last? |
| Start probiotics. It should help. |
|
It is definitely a thing. My 20something heathy sister had diarrhea for a couple months post Covid. Not severe, and probably not true diarrhea, as she otherwise felt ok and was fine to work. Maybe loose stool is the more accurate term for what she had longer term.
Diarrhea was my first Covid symptom. It was pretty bad for about 3 days then turned into a head cold and wet productive cough. The diarrhea lingered a couple more days but I eat a lot bananas and plain yogurt and that helped things a ton |
| Diarrhea is one of the more common symptoms of BA5 and lots of people have ongoing GI issues after clearing the infection. Try Pepto and a probiotic. My brother had lingering GI issues after Covid and he did probiotics and it took several months but he did go back to normal. |
| This is fairly common for single- or double-vaccinated people with one of the Omicron strains-- diarrhea, especially during the latter phase of the illness and even after home tests show up negative. It is not considered a serious symptom (as with the menstrual issues). (It also occurs to those with 2 or fewer vaccines, but generally resolves within a day or two.) Even though it is not serious, I encourage you to report it to your PCP primarily because it's very valuable to be able to keep track of which symptoms are associated with each strain, and how frequently they occur. Also, your PCP can prescribe something for your symptoms. No need to suffer. Hope you feel better soon. |
