Travel disruptions, and how early should I get to Dulles on Tuesday for 7am domestic flight?

I've been hearing horror stories about travel this summer. Should I get there by 5am for a 7am flight to Dallas? Any insight from recent fliers appreciated. Thanks!!

Do you have pre-check? Also download the TSA app which lets you see how long the lines usually are. I doubt you need to walk into the terminal before 5:45

I would absolutely get there by 5 am. Isn't that what the TSA recommends during normally? And this summer is anything but normal.
