Progesterone suppositories and iui

| Has anyone taken progesterone pill suppositories for an iui? Did you get pregnant? I am taking them because I usually have a short luteal phase under 10 days. I started taking them the day after the iui and supposed to take them for 15 days. Has anyone else had a short luteal phase and how did you treat it? I really do not like taking these they are giving me cramps and am worried that they may be unsafe. Thanks. |

| I took them for last IUI but it was mpore of a precaution - not to correct LPD. I got pregnant. trying again 3 years later with IUI, and they still prescribing the progesterone as a precausiton. I can't stand them either, but I believe they are relatively safe. |

| I prefer the Crinone supps....no mess to deal with! |

| I was prescribed them after a round of injections and timed intercourse (no IUI) to help support a pregnancy if it was successful. But unfortunately I did not get pregnant that cycle. They were annoying and messy but otherwise I didn't have any problems. |

| I'm taking them now after IUI and have no side effects but they are messy. This is my second time doing IUI so right now I"m waiting. |
