Babysitting rate for 2 grade schoolers?

Both parents are going back to the office in September, our immediate option is to pay our neighbor's daughter (rising 8th grader) to watch our 2 boys (4th & 3rd graders) at their house from when the bus arrives until one of us gets home. I'm estimating about an hour daily.

What should the going rate be?

Is 9-10 a good age to be home alone for an hour after school?

One is turning 10 in December, younger one is turning 9 in February.

I have younger brothers that are the same age difference. My brothers would have fought (physically) and just generally got into mischief if they came home alone every day like that. Maybe your kids are better behaved than my brothers though.

They trash talk & argue but no punches / fights (yet!).

I think it's fine. Have a snack drawer ready in the fridge. I was babysitting triplet 6 month olds when I was 11.
