YUM. Went to the one in downtown Bethesda. It was really good. Stupidly expensive, though. TTT spoiled us -- they were every bit as good as Tacombi and they had $1 taco nights.
But if you can afford it, it's worth going, I guess. Delicious tacos with that super-strong corn flavor. Yum. |
| Just went. Way better than chia but their tortillas were rubbery |
I thought they were delicious. Burritas -- not sure why they aren't burritos -- should be skipped, at least the one I got (fried fish). It actually had mayo in it. Not worth eating. |
Interesting. We might just have completely opposite palates. The taco fillings were really good, especially the al pastor, which is not easy to make really tender and not greasy. But the gummy tortilla was a no for me. The burritos cooked on the plancha was a hot for me. I loved the white cream sauce with the fried fish. Like a burrito'd fish taco. Quesadillas were fine, again with the crema, but the meat was thin/sad and they didn't offer a plain queso one |
We had carnitas, carne asada and crispy fish tacos, and avocado, black bean and cheese tostada (I think). All were better than the burrita IMO. Why is it a burrita and not a burrito? |
The burittas I've had before were folded like a quesadilla. But this one was rolled. It's not a burrito bc they cooked it on the flat top. |
| Where else can we get tacos this good without the insane price? |
PP here. I like https://www.casaoaxacamd.com/menu Much better and the prices are a bit better Good food costs good money |

Tacombi was yummy, but pricy. I guess the tacos were $5 or so, maybe not bad? The al pastor was a little fatty, but I loved the black bean sweet potato taco.
Taqueria la Placita in Hyattsville is great. |
