| He doesn't even send his own kids to school in DC. |
| That, right there, should be disqualifying. |
| Does the DCSBOE do anything? |
|
Those replies on the Twitter thread are brutal.
Who else is running? Is Ruth retiring? |
It’s a two man race: Sriqui vs. Goulet. What would Ward 3 do for entertainment without this guy? |
|
Goulet is not an education professional, has had less than zero to do with DCPS and doesn't even send his kids there.
But in his own mind, he is the most qualified to represent the families of Ward 3 on the State Board of Education where things like curriculum and testing metrics are the business of the day. Serious chutzpah. |
The full audio of the call is brutal to Goulet. He is a flat-out liar in his letter to campaign finance. He deserves to everything that’s coming his way. |
| he has my vote |
based on what? |
First rule of trolls:don’t engage. The PP did not offer any substantive and appears to be only posting to rile people up. He seems perfect for Goulet |
|
Goulet was marginally qualified to be on the Council, he knows the institution. But he's spectacularly unqualified to be on the SBOE, he clearly doesn't know anything about education.
His proposed alternative to MacArthur High was to move Ellington to UDC and reopen Western High at the Ellington site. That shows a deep lack of understanding of the politics of both Ellington and UDC. It also shows a lack of understanding of the fiscal situation, and the urgency of solving crowding at Jackson-Reed. Moving Ellington would probably take a decade and cost half a billion dollars. MacArthur will open in 2023 at a cost of $30ish million. |
This. He knows nothing of testing standards, curriculum or any of the core issues that the SBOE deals with. |
He's a finance guy. SBOE doesn't have a finance role. |
|
Exactly. He is doing this for vanity and be the Councilmember in Waiting.
His time would be better served running for an ANC seat. |
