| My poor Lexus (2006 with 200k miles) is on its last legs, AND I’m expecting our third child. Time for a new car. Trying to decide between a three-row Telluride or Highlander. Thoughts? |
| Minivan. Not the answer you wanted, but totally get a minivan. |
| Can't speak to the Telluride but the Highlander's third row is unusable. I love Toyotas and especially wanted to get a hybrid SUV. But if you need a third row, there's no point in getting a Highlander. We got a Pilot instead, but my kids are older. For little kids and car seats, I'd vote minivan like the PPs. |
| Would you consider the Subaru Ascent? |
| You need a minivan. Three kids equals minivan. Sorry. |
|
I have the Highlander and it's just fine in the third row. I do like the added features on the Kia tho.
|
| Minivan or something like a suburban. The third rows on Telluride/highlander size cars are worthless |
| Highlander third row is sooooo small. Not even worth it, imo. Is Honda Pilot on your list? |
| You need the minivan. Don’t deny it. Look at a new Sienna or Odyssey. You will come to love it with 2 kids + a baby. |
| Hyundai Palisade is worth a look. Spacious 3rd row. |
| We test drove a Highlander and it was too small for our two very tall teens plus dog. |
| go Tahoe |
Ascent also has a tiny row and very small trunk space when it's up. Also, if it's important to you, the mileage is really bad. Like, 10-15 mpg in my experience. Nowhere clos to the 20-25 advertised. |
| +1 Pilot |
False. Four kids and happy as a clam with a hylander. |
