Palace Papers by Tina Brown and now looking for more Royal Family books

Anonymous
I just finished the audio of Tina Brown’s book. It’s a good, interesting balanced book. I highly recommend. Has anyone read other books on the royal family they would recommend?

There’s a new one coming out by Tom Bower.

Great low key marketing, Team Tom Bower!

Brothers and Wives was good.

They’re all terrible and based largely on unfounded gossip. The new one by Tom Bower, for example, is almost complete fiction.

No- he is very good about verifying sources. Not fiction.

He openly admits that he only talked to people who are not fans of the couple. How is that unbiased?

It’s hard to be a fan of the couple. Nothing but drama.

The Tom Bower book is very good, I just finished it. He’s actually very well-known in the UK for verifying his sources - he’s a former lawyer and has never been sued despite writing a number of unauthorized biographies.

Tom Bower has been sued by everyone he’s written books about. He’s a total joke.

What? He’s been repeatedly sued and his books are practically fiction.

I want whoever is in charge of Ryan Airs twitter feed today to write a book. They are savage.

What? If that’s true, provide links to settlement announcements. He writes about high-profile subjects so they should be easy to find. You won’t because there aren’t any. His Wikipedia page has a long list of his works and lawsuits he won because his sources were correct.

I should have added that he’s never been SUCCESSFULLY sued, because I should have known that somebody would nitpick the wording since the substance can’t actually be disputed. He’s been sued because anyone can file a lawsuit, but has won all lawsuits that weren’t subsequently dropped because his books are well sourced and he doesn’t publish claims he can’t back up. He said he had over 80 sources for this book, so it’s odd that you’d claim it’s “complete fiction.” We’re all entitled to our opinions, I suppose.

Settlements are usually confidential.

No, he's literally been called out for several factual inaccuracies in his book already.
