My 3 yo DS was recently sick for a couple of weeks and barely ate, and he lost a full two lbs, when he was thin to begin with. He is skin and bones now -- i can count every rib and feel his butt bones when he sits on my lap (he's otherwise perfectly healthy).
What are some tips for sneaking calories into his diet? What are good calorie dense foods to give him? He's also in that older toddler phase of suddenly becoming picky, though he used to eat everything. |

Try to sneak coconut oil into foods, smoothies or milkshakes.

| No worries. This is perfectly normal and only 2 pounds, which will come back quickly so long as he’s back to eating regularly. |
| If he's really underweight, talk to your pediatrician. They'll likely recommend nut butters, full fat dairy, avocado and similar. |
