I was really surprised to find that the two daycares (Alexandria City and Arlington) where we've been offered spots for our two-year-old require masks on kids. Our previous very COVID-strict daycare in D.C. did not, at least for that age group. Is this standard practice? I thought we'd be past this requirement given the availability of vaccines. |
Not anymore once kids are fully vaccinated in our 4 room |
Ours never did, except for kids 5 and up, per Virginia law at the time. |
Parents at our center have requested it, so yes, kids are still masked in Alexandria. |
Our daycare doesn't require a mask unless the kid has been exposed to covid, and even then it's not really enforced. This is for a 2s class in a Bright Horizons. |
Ours does because the church we are located in (but not affiliated with) requires masks in the building. Thank goodness. |
No way! |
Our preschool never required masks for any age students, but did & still does require masks for staff |
Our preschool only ever required masks for kids 5 and up. This is in falls church city. |
MD preschool, everyone required to wear masks, even 2 yr olds, all kids and staff get tested once a week on-site, thanks goodness. |
We are in MOCO and our preschool finally went mask optional in the spring. We would have been looking for a different place for the fall otherwise. If you want some where mask optional you can find it I bet. |
No thankfully. I’d look for another daycare in my preschooler needed to mask. |
Our in home stopped when Alexandria City schools went mask optional. |
Redeemer in McLean is requiring masks on kids, but not adults?! (aka not enforced for back to school night and no signs up about masks on the doors.) |
Our preschool required masks for everyone 2 and up the first year and a half of the pandemic. Then it was indoors only, now it is optional everywhere. |
