I'm a trash picker

Anonymous
I didn't set out to be but when walking around my neighborhood I started noticing just how many perfectly good items were set out for trash. Kitchen chairs, side tables, sporting supplies, kids toys and play yards, office supplies, garden tools and supplies, SO MUCH FURNITURE. It breaks my heart to see this all end up in a landfill when it could so easily be donated. I've taken to driving around the morning of trash day and picking up the items that can be donated. I have a donation pick up scheduled for once a month. I feel ridiculous but leaving items weighs on my mind so now I feel compelled to do it. This is my little way of trying to help.

I don't tell anyone about this because it seems so silly, so thanks for lett me confess here. Had to get it out

Post it on Freecycle when you see it. Someone will come get it.

It's best to donate stuff to a thrift store because hoarders hang out on freecycle and buy nothing groups. You are not being helpful by feeding hoarders.
