| Look into Sao Miguel, the largest island in the Azores. The flight from Boston is only 4.5 hours. Food is super cheap there. And it is so beautiful. Everywhere you go, there are huge hydrangea bushes lining both sides of the roads and the land is extremely green. Lots of cool things to see - Sete Cidades, Lagoa do Fogo, black sand beaches, lots of waterfalls, whale and dolphin watching, etc. |
| Sounds amazing - thanks! Where did you stay and how long did you spend there? |
| Op, are you still here? Would love more details on where you stayed. Thank you! |
| Airline tickets $1300-$1700 each |
|
That sounds great! Thanks OP--it's never really been on my radar, but I might look into it!
|
| Huh? The flight (nonstop) from Boston is 5 hrs and 45 min. |
Yikes! Sounds like the lady who said she could not imagine staying in beach hotel that cost under $2k a night. |
| We're in DMV, this is DCUM, not Boston |
There’s always someone that looks for the negative |
| Funny. The Azores just popped up on my screen saver. Gorgeous. |
New poster. Don’t you think this is relevant information, just like the actual flight time is relevant, versus one that isn’t accurate. No one is dissing the location…just providing additional facts. |
I am going this summer - do you have any more specific recommendations? THanks!
|
Like itinerary for example? thx again |
I am the one who said I am going there this summer. I found it doing the google flights explore feature & looking at where we could fly direct for <1000 pp. FWIW |
Much less if you don’t go in high season |
