My last kid is finishing daycare to go to Kindergarten in a couple of weeks. We've been at that daycare for almost 7 years and they have been wonderful to our family. Several teachers have been there the entire time. When Covid upended my oldest's K experience, they jumped in.
Any suggestions for a nice parting gift for the school? I'd like to provide something as a thanks for the many years they took such great care of our kids. |
Gifts to individuals? Or to the school as an institution (like a bench/tree/etc)? |
OP here. To the school or teachers as a group (not individual teachers). |
I'd do lunch for staff and a collection of books for the center. |
We catered a staff lunch |
Donate a favorite book of each child (when preschool aged) to the school. |

Honestly, the "school" doesn't need your support. The individual teachers do. They're paid crappy wages for a critical service. You want to show them what they mean to you?
Write a check for $500 to the five teachers who interacted most with your kids. |
Giant gift cards. They can buy food, nice things - or booze lol. Those ladies need money. |
Could you ask the director what would be most impactful? Or a long term teacher? They probably know best. |
Money to Target. Everyone needs something from Target. |
