| We are taking our 14 year old to see a show Tuesday night. Any recommendations? Not too fancy. |
| It’s too hot to sit outside. |
Tuesday will be 81 |
| Elephant and Castle. Make a reservation. |
|
-Jaleo: has outdoor seating. They (used to, maybe still do) have a pre-theater menu.
-Shake Shack has outdoor seating. I also like taking take-out to the courtyard area of the Portrait Gallery (closes at 7 pm). Five Guys on H Street is the best Five Guys in DC. |
| MXDC on 14th Street at F has some outside tables and isn’t far away. I don’t know if you can reserve those however. |
| I can't recall if Cafe du Parc at the Willard has outdoor seating; I know that there is some at the restaurant at the Hotel Washington / previous W hotel. |
Good idea with a youngster in tow. |
| The food at MXDC is terrible. Cosign for Elephant and Castle for the 14 year old or Central or Zaytinya (5 block walk) if they are more of a foodie |
| Roti has outdoor seating if you want fast casual. So does Puro Gusto Cafe. |
|
Thank you for writing this! Taking my teen to Six also and wanted dinner recs.
Can I ask how you are timing this for the 7:30 show, op? |
Cafe du Parc — yes, they do have outdoor seating. |
| Any other ideas for restaurants near National Theater? I don’t need outdoor seating, but do need some vegetarian options that aren’t fish. |
