| I’m 5’6” so not super tall but my legs are long. I need longer running shorts now that I am in my 40s and my body isn’t how it was when I was in my 20s when I used to live in the East coast. I have a sizable butt and thicker legs now that I have 3 kids. I used to always wear yoga pants for running because we used to lived in CA for two decades, but we moved here a year ago and the humidity here is killing me if I dare put anything spandex on. Please recommend your favorite athletic mom shorts that are still stylish but not super short. I’d like to find a long lasting and durable, good quality product. |
| Maybe a tennis type skirt? Fila and Athleta have them. |
| I like bike shorts from Lululemon. 8” inseam. Fast and Free bike shorts has thigh pockets for phone. |

Try mesh gym shorts for women. Under Armour has a variety, but I'm sure the other big names have them too.
They do make running mesh shorts for women, but I prefer the looser "gym" version. Ymmv (no pun intended!). Agree Op...I don't know how or why people can wear spandex, leggings, yoga pants for running outside around here. |
| You should just get biker shorts. Otherwise, lululemon has a 5” inseam running short. |
| Oiselle! Running clothes designed for women, by women. I have their shorts in a 3” and 6” inseam. Sports bras are also really good and supportive. |
| I would go in person to Dick’s Sporting Goods—they have a variety of brands and a fitting room. I was pleasantly surprised. Look at all types of athletic shorts, not just “running”. |

Something like this might work?

| Oiselle long roga shorts. |
Yes! I was shocked at the variety they have both in store and online. I get much of DS’s clothing there now, and most of my workout gear as well. |
| I’d find a pair of men’s basketball shorts. |

Title 9 has a bunch of different inseam lengths. I like the 5 inch for my 52 year old legs -- the 7 inch ones are a little too long.

Try Walmart. I've been buying these shorts for the last few years and absolutely love them! They're long enough (probably 5 or 6 inches?) but not so long that they look ridiculous. They also have nice size pockets and don't ride up the inner thighs like some athletic shorts. Every year I add a couple more colors to my collection and they hold up well being washed and dried.

I was going to recommend these, or the 5” ones. REI lets you search by inseam length. Athleta does too, I think. |
| I prefer immodest running shorts so cannot contribute constructively to this thread. |
