| Almost every prior president’s wife has had some kind of cause or issue they worked on in the White House. Laura Bush advocated for reading, Nancy Reagan was anti drugs, Michelle Obama promoted nutrition and exercise, Hillary Clinton tried to push for health care reform, Melania Trump advocated against bullying. Has Jill Biden picked up a cause? Given she has an EdD I’m surprised she isn’t doing something with education. |
| Yes. Education, supporting military families, and cancer research. |
| She teaches. That’s doing something with education. |
| Military families. And cancer research. |
| My friend teaches at NVCC in the English Department with her. She gets mixed reviews. |
What exactly has she accomplished in regard to military families? We are 27+ years active duty here in DC area and she’s had zero impact as far as I can see. |
Year 1 of her husband being in office https://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/dr-jill-biden/ |
Conceding for the sake of argument that she hasn't "accomplished" anything. But is that a requirement? From what I can tell no first lady ever has ever done anything other than "bring awareness" at best. And if they ever did "accomplish" anything, I'm sure that accomplishment is being evaluated in hindsight, and not with less than two years under their belt. |
She doesn’t say you know what you signed up for. If your question is serious, here is a fact sheet: https://www.whitehouse.gov/joiningforces/blog/2021/07/22/fact-sheet-first-lady-jill-biden-sets-course-for-the-next-phase-of-joining-forces/ |
| I love Jill Biden. |
I read the fact sheet. I still stand by my original statement. YMMV |
They were talking about Jill Biden, hon. Not your spouse. |
| She put up those huge handmade hearts on White House lawn shortly after Inauguration. |
She teaches us, Tacos, that see say podway. |
