What can be done to avoid becoming a victim? We've moved car from street to an enclosed parking lot but cant seem to escape break ins.

You live in Shaw. You shouldn’t own a car in the first place. Get a cargo bike and help to take meaningful action on climate change, reduced traffic violence in our city and make the air quality better. The break-ins might just be a blessing in disguise.

When I lived in a high crime area, I had an old car and left the doors unlocked. My car got rifled through, but it was better than a broken window.

I realize you’re being flippant. But you’re not even bright enough to see the pearl of wisdom in your oyster of snark.

If people HAD housing, there’d BE no crime. But as long as you have a society where disenfranchised people see others with more, they feel less-than. And they strike out in the only way they have a voice - by committing crime.

Give every person caught breaking into cars a home of their own that they can be proud of, and crime will vanish.
