Tiny hair ties that don't rip out hair?

| Anyone have a recommendation? My 2 year old's hair is super fine/thin and those little clear elastic bands rip out too much hair. Also open to small hair clips that will stay in! |

Goody has covered rubber bands and they come in a few colors.

| The trick is to buy the clear elastic bands in bulk and just cut them out and throw them away. |

Only the terrycloth ones were safe for my child: here's one example:

The linked terrycloth ones also worked for my DD and Dollar Tree has them ! My child's daycare did not allow the clips as a choking hazard. |

If you go with elastic and cut out, we got little tools made for the job that were super helpful. Dont try it with anything else.
