Bain de Soleil -Frantic Question

Anonymous
I recently learned that Bain de Soleil sunscreen has been discontinued. While the orange gelee was a mess sometimes, for me it’s the fragrance that celebrates the joys of summer. I’m not quite at the point of making an eBay purchase, spending hundreds of dollars for what I hope is an authentic tube. So:
Does anyone know if there are other products out there with a similar scent? Maybe a cologne or a sunscreen knockoff? I’m still hoping against hope that I’ll find a crumpled tube in a forgotten beach bag from a pre-COVID summer. I just want to inhale that heady fragrance one more time….

Google the product name and “dupe” and you’ll probably find some beauty blog posts about it. Good luck!

No suggestions, just commiseration; I now use Hawaiian Tropic deep tanning oil as my post shower moisturizer for the rush of happy memories I get from inhaling the scent.

Maybe try a few pharmacies or independent, small town stores? Depending upon when the product was discontinued, you may just find stock still on the shelves or moved to clearance.

Sometimes, TJ Maxx will have huge amounts of name brand health and beauty products around the time the line is being re-packaged or updated or even discontinued.

Thank you both for your suggestions— and commiseration! OP

Hey OP I was just looking for some new samples to try and came across this. At least one reviewer said she smells Bain de Soleil in this: https://www.luckyscent.com/product/31348/musc-monoi-by-parfums-de-nicolai

So much easier for Coppertone to be the smell of summer.
