Think of trying the Peloton app. I’ve taken Barre3 classes online for a few years now, and really want to mix it up a bit; I don’t like their strength or yoga flow classes, but do love the “signature B3” classes.
Thinking Peloton might be a good try, esp since they have both barre and weight training. Anyone have insight/experience to share? |
I love the peloton barre! |
Any thoughts on how it compares to B3, if you’ve done both? |
I am a regular barre3 and peloton user and peloton barre doesn’t come close to the effectiveness of barre3. The postures seem to not be held long enough to cause the barre3 “shakes and quakes.” And it’s just not as fun as barre3 (although I do in studio classes more than the online ones). |
I did bar method for several years until the Dc studio closed. Agree that peloton barre is not comparable - it’s great for a quick class to mix up your training program though. I really enjoy the 10 min classes but they don’t remind me at all of studio barre class. |
Unless I am missing something, there aren’t many Barre classes on Peleton. Hannah Corbin does them, and so does another instructor, but I would say they are somewhat limited. I do love Hannah’s classes, but it’s not the same as going to a studio. |
Agreed. Not a fan of Peloton barre. I do stream Physique 57 and they incorporate weights in some of their classes. Not sure how it compares to Barre3. |
