mom / ladies gray hair coloring question

Moms, Ladies I haven't been to the hair dresser in awhile. I'm starting to gray a lot. Here is what I'm wondering, if I wanted to get some partial highlights, would they have to do a two fold hair coloring process? (The highlights and then the rest of the hair?)


I used to just get highlights or just get my hair single color processed.

But with grays popping up everywhere what will they do? charge?
