If I accept a PKEEP spot, can I stay at on the DCPS lotto waitlist?

My top priority for PK lotto choices is distance from home.

Right now, we have a PK3 spot through the lottery at a DC charter school that's pretty far away from us (AppleTree Columbia Heights). We've been hoping to get off the waitlist at one of the charters we ranked higher, which is much closer to us (Stevens).

Meanwhile, we just unexpectedly got offered a spot at a PKEEP program close to us in the West End. That'd be WAY more convenient than Apple Tree CH, so I'm inclined to take it! But given the choice between the PKEEP and Stevens, I'd prefer the latter. If I enroll him in the PKEEP, does that mean we give up our waitlist spot at Stevens? (I understand that's not the case for DCPS lottery schools, but am not sure how it works with the parallel tracks of PKEEP/CBOs and DCPS lotto rankings.) Thanks!

Most PKEEPs will require you to submit proof that you withdrew from the myschoolDC lotto before enrolling your child in the program. But it's up to the school.
