DCC assignment: what if you move?

My friend’s child has been assigned to start 9th grade at Einstein as part of the DCC process. This is their home school. They are moving in August to an apartment zoned for Blair. Does the kid remain at Einstein or re-enroll at Blair? Trying to help the parent, who speaks limited English. I can’t find much on mcps site. Anyone know?

Did the child not apply for a particular school?

Does the child have a preference between Einstein (friends/programs) or Blair?

I would contact the enrollment counselor at Blair and ask.

She will just need to inform the Einstein registrar of the address change.

Does her kid want to go to Blair? If so, that can probably happen, but, her kid might have to unenroll from Einstein then re-enroll at Blair.

I think the kid remains at Einstein by default. But if they want to go to Blair once that is their new home school that can happen.
