We're considering this daycare for our son. Can anyone share recent experiences? Pros/cons? Thanks in advance!

Honestly if you weren’t on the list the day you decided to get pregnant chances are you aren’t getting a slot soon. Your best bet may be to get a nanny who has a focus in early childhood for a year or two until you can get in. I wish you well and hope you can get in soon.

My son was there from 18 months until he started PreK at Tubman up the street. He had a gross motor and speech delay and was in Strong Start. This bumped him to the top of the waitlist and he had a spot one month after inquired about one. It’s been a few years, but he had a good experience there. It was nice that he had his PT and speech therapy on site during the day. His teachers were nice, though there was lots of turnover. My one main thing is the safety of the neighborhood. But the staff is super careful and conscious about that. If your child has special needs, it’s a very good place.

Thanks so much for this. We were just referred to Strong Start. Good to hear that it can be helpful in getting a spot!
