Alternatives to DCPS Prek3

For a variety of reasons, I don't know if DCPS Prek3 will work for us in the fall/winter, but I'd like for DD to have some more socialization.

I am totally clueless about alternatives, in particular, play groups. Where could I learn more about playgroups? We are in Petworth.
