| I see on their list the kids are meant to bring masks - are they really still masking at this camp? |
| They are indoors |
You don't need masks indoors in most places anymore. I haven't seen anyone wear masks in ages - not since the Super Bowl showed that you can stick 70,000 people in an indoor stadium and not have a mass death event. |
Yeah maybe for old variant, but not for new one. Unfortunately, Covid variant is quickly adapting and almost now as contagious as measles. Here is link to help clarify why indoor masking is needed: https://yourlocalepidemiologist.substack.com/ I wish more places required indoor masking during surges. I was at outdoor camp with kids and some were still masking and most put on masks while going indoors for some activities or using restrooms. It just is common sense right now for indoors to keep a mask handy and use given the widespread of cases right now. I’m definitely seeing more people use masks. My kids did Fairfax Collegiate camp the other week and kids were wearing masks there, too. I’m seeing a change in behavior right now with more folks wearing them. Plus The Madeira School was listed with really high outbreak (24 cases on March 18, 2022) on the va education dashboard. I imagine they take precautions seriously after that fiasco. https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/see-the-numbers/covid-19-data-insights/covid-19-outbreaks-by-selected-exposure-settings/ |
