Anyone tried Land's End bathing suits?

Before I plunk down $100 on a bathing suit, I'd like to know if other women have been pleased with their purchase.

I have saggy double-Ds, a stretch-marked tummy, and an intractable bikini-line (nice image, huh?), but I love love love the beach and the pool. I wonder if one of their tankini two-pieces with the little skirt would be a good solution. I hate feeling self-conscious at the beach... it used to be my happy place!

Thanks,

My neighbor LOVES them, and I noticed a few of the moms wearing them last summer at the pool. Go to your local Sears and try them. I didn't like the look on me, but I'm pretty short (5'2) and round right now.

I LOVE mine. I've got alot of the same issues as you OP (although I'm just a plain 'ol D cup) and it's the best suit. I got the skirt and shorts and like the skirt alot more. I've got the fitted top (the one where you input your bra size) as well as another one they had on clearance and love them both although the "bra" top definitely supports you better.

IMO these suits are worth every penny -- you just need to find the right one for your body. I'm on my 3rd one now, and they wear like iron.

I too have a bust problem with swimsuits and Lands End suits are the only ones who could contain and lift, BUT, you gotta get the underwire option. Don't waste your time with the soft cup bra or shelf bra options.

Also! choose the "Tall" option if you don't want your stomach to show with the tankini option (even if you're not actually tall).

Whoa, OP, I was just about to post the same exact question. Did you get the Land's End swimsuit catalogue today too? I wore my old pre-mom swimsuits recently for the first time since pregnancy, and yikes -- they never did a great job supporting my boobs, but they're awful now. I need some serious underwire. My old ones are all tankini style, which is great for hiding the mama-belly. I think the skirts make you look old-ladyish; mine are all brightly colored tankini tops with solid color brief-type bottoms. From your description, we apparently have identical bodies, so try something like that and see if it works for you!

PPs, thanks for the tip -- didn't know Land's End suits were at Sears. Hard to trust swimsuits by catalogue...

Any other ideas for the huge-boobed?

I, too, love the Land's End suits (and have DD boobs). Plus, if it doesn't fit you can return it to a local Sears.

OP here - Yep, the catalog arrived in the mail, and I was taken in by all the pretty colors. Plus, I'm heading to the tropics in two weeks, so I need a decent suit.

Excellent feedback and advice all around. I didn't know Sears carried Lands End products, so as soon as the baby is down for the night, I'll head out to the 'burbs and try some on!

Thanks a million.

Not all Sears carries them, although I think most in the DC area do--the LE website has a locator :
