| I will be out of town on the MD primary day and requested a mail-in ballot last week, specifically the option to receive the ballot by email as I thought it would be quicker. I've since received a text confirming the request and to expect to receive it 30 days before the election and a link to check on the status of the request. When I click on the link and enter all my info, it says the ballot was already sent. I have not received it, and yes I've checked my junk mail thoroughly and have searched by every relevant keyword I can think of. I'm worried I entered my email address incorrectly. Now what?? It's unclear to me who I would even contact to sort this out. Am I just out of luck to vote in the primary? |
| I asked for mine on June 21. I haven’t received mine yet and got the same message. So i am voting today at an early voting center. It will be provisional but at least I can vote.. |
Did you have any issues casting your vote? I asked for mine about the same time you did. I got a text on July 1 saying it'd be sent to me. Still waiting... We're going on vacation on July 15 so DH and I may be doing early voting on July 13-14 if these ballots don't show up soon! |
No issues voting. I told them when I checked in that I likely had to vote provisional. They sent me to the provisional desk. I could vote by machine or fill in a bubble ballot form myself. I chose the machine and it was easy. I did have to write my drivers license number and last four digits of my social security number. So have that info handy. Provisional ballots don’t get counted until the 29th. I will be out of town on the 19th too. Hlad they have early voting available as well. Or this could have been a mess. |
| Mine came in a link to download, Check that. But now I want to early vote in person. I can, right? |
Thanks for this info. I just checked my confirmation number from when I made the request. I made it on June 14! What a ridiculous process... |
I had a similar issue (email ballot never came) and went to an early voting center yesterday. The election worker I talked to said they’ve been hearing this a lot- not sure why the option is being offered if it’s not reliable. |
I emailed the Board of Elections and told them I never received a ballot and that I'm hearing others aren't, either. I hope they look into it. |
| My mail-in ballot arrived today! |
OP here- nice! I will give it one more day and otherwise try to go to an early voting center. Of course this would be the week DH has car trouble and has to take my car to work. Leason learned not to mess around with mail-in for November!

| If you requested and received a mail-in ballot, but later decide you want to vote at an early voting center or on Election Day, is that OK? Do you have to let them know about this, or as long as you destroy the mail-in ballot you won't have a problem? |
you will just have to vote provisionally . But you can do it. |
| I just received my ballot by e-mail this morning. Glad I didn't go vote provisionally at an early voting place yesterday like I was considering doing. |
OP here- OMG I did too! I'm relieved because I intended to go vote provisionally but it was a crazy week and I thought I had until today, then realized last night that yesterday was the last day of early voting. Then my ballot arrived this morning- hooray! Why did it take so long though? SUper weird. |
