| Are there any perennials I can add to my garden now that will still bloom now or in August/fall? My yard is very full sun and a lot of it gets just burnt out so I need something heat tolerant, preferably only a foot or two max tall. |

Black eyed Susan.
Heliopsis |
| Unless you get fairly mature plants, and those tend to struggle more with getting established in the heat, likely not in August. Fall bloomers are a more reasonable target. |
Thanks... Any suggestions for fall bloomers? |
| Native asters are a good bet. Something like Raydon’s Favorite or October Skies. Goldenrod are pretty vigorous plants that should bloom for you in the fall. Maybe Helenium. Make sure to keep them well watered, especially while they’re getting established. |
| You can go to a nursey or home depot or lowes and buy mature plants (and despite what some might tell you on here, you do not have to buy "native" plants) that appeal to you visually that will bloom into fall: verbena, black eyed susans, zinnias, dasies, coneflowers asters (it will be a few weeks before see asters for sale however); you can plant them now even though it is hot, you will just need to water them a lot. |
