I don't think so. Benchmade is a line of Bassett items and also BenchMade Modern is a whole separate company.

My mother has a Bassett benchmade TV stand and it's very solid and well made.

I like my bassett sectional although it stains quite a bit. Which is not bassett's fault.

i have a basset section -- not sure if it's bench made. i've had it 15 years and it's still in beautiful condition.
