Please recommend your iron steamer

Anonymous
IDK if this is the right forum, but hoping this gets the most eyes.

Is the best steamer the one that takes up the most closet real estate? For example, this: https://tinyurl.com/2p9avtkp

Do folks have hacks to get around this? Love how my iron fits on the shelf right above my washing machine. I really have no idea where I would fit a full-size steamer in our small home.

TIA!

I love my steamer, and I don't care that it sits next to the washer in the laundry room. I use it almost daily.

We do not have a laundry room. We have a laundry "hall" and there is no way for the steamer to sit next to the washer without obstructing traffic.

Just buy a hand held one and hang whatever you are steaming on something else. Hanger on the door. Shower rod. You could buy an over the door clothes hanger thing.

I have the Jiffy Pro J-4000 and travel steamers. The travel steamer is actually really great for its size compared to other brands - I had a Rowenta one at some point and it definitely wasn't as powerful as the Jiffy. If you can't spare the space for the full size tank, get a hand held.

What clothes do you steam? I have never considered one.

Jiffy PP here. I sew garments for a hobby so my wardrobe consists mostly of natural fiber clothes. I steam lots of linen, wool and silk items. I prefer to iron/press to steaming but it's easier to steam items like wool blazers/jackets in an upright position than ironing on a board.

Jiffy PP again. The exact model of my handheld steamer is the Jiffy ESteam.
